The Elegance Dark Walnut urn is crafted from a single solid piece of dark walnut wood to create an amazingly beautiful vessel to hold your loved ones cremated remains. Each urn is skillfully hand turned on a wood lathe with the utmost of care, then finely finished to bring out the natural beauty of the wood. The stripe and lid on the Elegance Dark Walnut are finished in black lacquer and then the urn is sealed with the most advanced high gloss polyurethanes to enhance it’s durability while preserving Elegance’s natural finish. The lid will fit snugly, but if you wish to seal the urn, simply apply a bead of silicone where the lid meets the body of the urn. For the Elegance line of urns Pet Passages only uses naturally downed (not cut) hardwood trees native to the Great Smoky Mountains, USA. Each Elegance urn is a unique one-of-a-kind original piece of urn art that is signed by the artist who created it.
Please Note: Because each urn is truly unique, the urn you purchase will be slightly different from the picture on this site because of variations in wood type, color, and grain. You can be assured of receiving a finely crafted product similar to the image. Natural occurrences in the wood such as small markings, spalting, small fissures (that do not effect the functionality or longevity of the product) enhance the beauty of the finished product.
